About Me
Hi there!
I’m Hoang, a backend software engineer who is currently pursuing M.S. in Computer Science at George Mason University. Before graduate school, I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the Hanoi University of Science and Technology and then spent over 4 years working at a reputable Vietnamese fintech company, delivering large-scale software systems and automated business workflows that serve millions of users.
My interests include database technologies, distributed systems, scalable software design, and I enjoy understanding how software systems really work internally to develop a more pragmatic engineering mindset. That’s why I’m into reading about these areas, along with best practices and current tech trends as well. Along this journey, I also try to document and elaborate on the concepts/techniques I learn, sometimes to share with others, and often so my future self can revisit the knowledge when needed.
